Date Expression

Hello,

I am trying to run a report that has 2 data items on a list output. One for prior month and another for current month. This report is set on a schedule to run daily. I want it to show data from the 27th - 28th for the prior and current months. My problem is with the current expression I have now come the 28th of the month it will not know to flip over to a new month until August 1. So I will have bad data from the 28th - EOM.  Any way to create so the 27th is recognized as the end of month w/o having to create separate prompts for scheduling?

Data items on page:
Prior Month would show 5/28 - 6/27  (_add_days(_first_of_month(_add_months(current_date,-2)),+27)) between (_add_days(_last_of_month(_add_months(current_date,-1)),+26))
Current would show 6/28 -7/27(_add_days(_first_of_month(_add_months(current_date,-1)),+27)) between (_add_days(_last_of_month(_add_months(current_date,-0)),+26))

Then starting on 7/28 I want it to show
Prior Month: 6/28-7/27
Current Month: 7/28 -8/27
