Hi

I am able to access a cube with my user id from power play studio in cognos connection.
I have admin rights too , so I have given the rights to a test user for the cube's datasource and package.
Now when I tried to open the cube from  from power play studio in cognos connection, by using the test user id,I have the following error:

SecureErrorId: 2015-06-15-06:33:25.004-#8 Original Error: The cube was not opened successfully. PDS-SEC-0002 You are unauthorized to access this PowerCube (CubeName.mdc).
Can you plz let me know how to remove this error or how to authorize the test user to access the .mdc cube??

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

When you say you have "given the rights to a test user for the cube's datasource and package", can you be specific about how you did this? Did you open the cube model in Transformer and grant access to the user or group to the custom view(s) used in your cube?

The security is applied at the custom view level too in transformer.
But that is the next step, first I authorized user to access the cubes from cognos connection(in both package/cube/datasource) so that he should be able to execute the cubes, but he is not able to execute the cubes.

Hi,

So you haven't yet granted access to the user to the custom views in Transformer? If so, you haven't given the user access to use the cubes. It sounds like you already realise you haven't done this - why do you believe it will work when you haven't yet taken this step?
