Hi,

I have several objects (reports, Schedules, connections) that are owned by a User which is not a service account. I have to replace the ownership of all the objects that this user owns to a Service accounts. Is there a way to query CS to get this list instead of going through individual objects & search for the ones he owns?

Hello Ajeeth,
I believe SDK would be the best route to take for this.

Thanks Cognos 810. Coincidentally I found another topic "Cognos Auditing Table - Data Source and Connection String Query" on similar lines to get connection details from CS where you have posted the query.

I am not strong with programming, also not sure about the effort in scripting this for just a onetime use. Should there not be a easier way to access this list from CS?

Avnet BSP Software - the host and sponsors of this Forum have this capability in MetaManager in a couple of different ways.

You may want to reach out to their sales team

Thanks MMcBride. This request is for one time use only & I am looking for something free. I feel that the SDK route that Cognos 810 might take longer considering my coding skills, hence looking to seek  an approach to extract the same from CS.

Also, I tried to download their trial software but could not find a way to extract all objects owned by a user.

I think Andy from BSP is away on vacation at the moment, or else he'd probably be along to help. Might be worth contacting BSP via their website to ask them about Metamanager?

Cheers!
