SOLVED: Bursting a Report - RSV-SRV-0029 The user does not have the assigned ca

I am trying to setup "Operational Control" of some of our reporting, so that Operations can manually recover reporting in the event of delays or failures in processing.

I have a user "operator" that is part of the Consumer Group and I wish this user to manually run jobs containing bursted reports (jobs containing non-bursted reports complete without issue).
However, upon execution, they are getting the following message "RSV-SRV-0029 The user does not have the assigned capability to use bursting. CAF-WRN-2082 An error has occurred..."

I have set the Bursting Property for Report Studio for both the individual user and then subsequently Group/role to Execute and Traverse, and the user has Read/Write/Execute/Traverse permissions to the Job and the individual Reports.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello adam_mc,
Under IBM Cognos Administration > Security > Capabilities, click on Report Studio. You will see an entry called "Bursting". Make sure that you have access to this capability by looking at the permissions specified for this capability.

Thanks 810, but that was the part I'd already done.

What I'd missed was adding Bursting Capabilities for the User/Role to the Package itself:
-   Open the property sheet for the package
-   Click on the Capabilities tab
-   Verify that the user belongs to a group listed there where bursting is enabled
        -      Add Bursting capability under Report Studio
