Hi everyone,

I need some assistance in troubleshooting this error. This is occurring when a large scheduled data pull is run that is set to run to excel 2007.  The report runs for about 7-15 minutes and then I get this error message.  XQE-CON-0007 XQE error encountered: No error details.

Where would I go to troubleshoot this?

Well, my guess is that you are blowing the 2Gb memory limit of your 32-bit Report Service. That's just a guess, though - since there's no error detail reported it's impossible to be precise. Cognos 10 BI is not designed to be an ETL tool - so large data dumps can cause issues.

It is a 64 bit machine with 4 GB assigned to Query Service.  I have been able to do this in the past, and allow query to run several hours without stopping  (I admit slowly but still able to run)  Any log or something to test this theory?

This is related to the new 10.2 feature of returning 1 million plus rows in a query.  We aren't even close to that and need it to run longer.

Appreciate any thoughts or tips!

It isn't related to the Query Service at all - this is used for planning and generating queries using DQM. It's to do with report output rendering, which is performed by the Report Service. This is usually set to 32-bit to allow access to CQM data sources too. If you try to dump vast amounts of data in a report, it can blow the 2Gb memory limit of the 32-bit report service.
