Excel Plugin Not working well after COGNOS10 MIgrations

We migrated from COG8 to COG10 and we used the MS excel plugin for both.

Unfortunately the plugin works fine with the COG8 but it fails for large amount of data in COG10.

We even tried increasing the governor limit to 35 Mb but failed again. As per recommendation, we should not exceed the limit to more than 50 Mb.

Can someone help us in this.

Can you tell us what "it fails" means - in detail. Is there an error?

When you refer to the MS Excel plugin, are you referring to Cognos for Microsoft Office? What version? What version of Excel? 32 or 64 bit?

What is a "large amount of data"? Are you trying to use Cognos as an ETL tool to dump data into Excel?

The message seems to indicate that the reports in question have prompts that are not getting fulfilled. Have you entered default prompt values in the Cognos for MS Office import definition?

What version of Cognos 10 are you using? What version of Excel are you using?
