Hi All

I have a crosstab where I am counting items in each category and calculating the percentage of each. I just want to show the top 10. All of this seems to be working except for one thing.

In my query I am using the rank function to get the top 10. In my crosstab it shows the percentage but uses the total of the top 10 as the denominator instead of the total of all the categories.

Please see attached screen shot.

I want to see the top 10 categories with the percentage of the total count of all categories.

Thanks in advance for any help  :)

Without knowing more details of your solution, it's hard to pinpoint exactly where the problem is.

Is this relational or dimensional? Since you're using the rank function, I'm guessing it's dimensional, but I could be wrong. How are you totaling it? total(currentMeasure within set/detail [RankNode])?

Most often problems with division like this can be down to the solve order. Click on the percent item, in the crosstab or in the query, and near the bottom of the properties is a solve order box. Set that to 2 and try running it again.
