Hi,

I wonder if this is possible

The user wants 2 reports on the same page, each references a different package
We are using Cube based dimensional data

thanks
Mike

Sure you can. Using report booklets, Workspace, or Insight are probably your easiest options. Each differs somewhat in presentation, so it depends on how they want to see and use it.

Hello MikeG,
In addition to bdbits suggestions:
1) you could publish a package from framework manager with both the cubes and then within ONE report studio report, on the same page create your reports with visual differentiation. Do this if the package is used only by report developers who know what to pull from where.

If you would rather keep the cube packages separate, then the following option would be ideal for you..
2) Create two reports against each cube package, then using "Pages" and Cognos Viewer portlets show the reports one under the other. Give the user access to this page as a portal tab.

Let me know if it helps,

I firstly tried Report Booklets, this worked fine for reports from same package but gave me error messages when using reports from different packages, we have Cognos Express 10.2.1 so maybe I will chase this up with Cognos helpdesk

So then tried building a package using 2 cubes (good IBM doc 'Create a multi-cube package in IBM Cognos Express') this worked incredibly well. I can now write the 2 reports (one over the other on the page) from 2 different cubes, hide the column titles of the lower report and it looks like just one big report.

So thanks to bdbits and cognos810 for their help
