Hi

I am a newbie to Cognos Cubes and have a question if within a level of a dimension you can configure attributes associated to that level, this was/is and issue with transformer and I was wondering if this can be done with Dynamic Cubes.

Example:  Level within Dimension:  Car Model

Does it allow for attributes such as Color, Transmission type, etc, within the level that I can access and report on?

I do know Cognos very well, and transformer(15 years of it), but as I mentioned Newbie to Dynamic Cubes and was wondering this problem was solved with it?

Thank you

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

Yes - levels in Dynamic Cubes can have many attributes. The minimum you can get away with is two - one as the ID (which is used in the Member Unique Name) and one as the Caption. You can add as many other attributes as you like, though.

Cheers!
