Hello Everyone:

Do any of you folks know how to insert different measures in nested columns for each individual members in a Analysis Studio report ? For example, in the screen shot below, time dim member FY 2014/15 has five measures nested underneath it where as for FY 2015/16 there are 3 measures nested underneath.

As little as I have worked with AS, I was pretty sure that measures are projected globally across all rows/columns when inserted into the xtab in AS so first I thought it is simply not possible, however upon looking at vari :-\ous AS report outputs(done by someone else a while back) I found something that is done exactly the way I wanted. Unfortunately, I dont have the access the AS report it self and can not seem to figure out how to achieve this :(

Thanks for all your help.

Control-click to select the multiple measures you want, then drag the selection into the Columns drop zone at the top. You can see the result in your screenshot, where it says "Measures (list)".

Thanks for your response.

I am aware of adding multiple measures nested under columns, however, the issue here is that Col 1 has 5 nested measures, but Col 2 has 3 nested measures. How can this be done, because AS applies measures to all columns when you try to nest them under columns.

Also, "hide" feature hides measures for all columns so that wont work either.

Thanks again.

Is your date column at the top based on a set that contains both fiscal years in it? If so then the nesting beneath will be the same for both. If instead you create a stacked set where each fiscal year is its own set of one member then you can nest differently beneath each.

I don't use AS much because CWA is better, but I think what I'm saying is (hopefully) correct  ;)

Thanks Lynn. You nailed it! And yes it has been so long I used AS myself. Stacked sets solved the issue. Although I did watch a 2 hour video before doing so :)

Thanks again and to everyone who replied. Hopefully, next poor soul will benefit from this.
