Reports on Safari: Running report instead of viewing the last saved version

Has anyone experienced any issues with running reports on Safari.

Cognos Mobile 10.2.1 installed with latest FP.

In Cognos Connection, reports are scheduled to run once an hour and save the output. Processing can be heavy and rather than have the users wait 10 mins, it works best for them to view a report slightly out of date but that also runs instantly.

However, when connecting to the reports via Safari, it goes off and runs the report! any ideas?

(I am not using the App as it has issues with our load balanced env. Cognos acknowledged the issue.)

If you are running the reports in the Safari browser, I will assume you are opening Cognos Connection. This is no different than opening the report from a desktop browser, and the behavior should be the same when you open the report at your desk.

Whether the report runs or displays the last saved version when clicked is a the Default Action setting on the Report tab on the report object properties.

I tried saving report output in HTML and PDF, but no difference. When accessing Cognos portal through http://cognosserver/cognos10/m it always runs the report instead of opening the save output.
I've tried this on IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari on iPad, all with the same result.

Any ideas why it does that?
