Run Time for reports with page sets

I was aware that Page sets tend to slow down the report and increase run time. I have a report that not only has our usual page sets in it for grouping & Sorting on Region & Company but I had to use Master-Detail relationship between Query 1 (Master) and 5 other queries.

the report is running so long now that our DB admin had to cancel it earlier today. Can anyone give me some suggestions on this? Do the Master-Detail relationships tend to slow the report also in addition to the page sets?
