List Report - Multiple values in single row and dynamic sorting

Hi ,

I have requirement to have multiple values for a single row and I have achieved it by having a list within List and master detail relationship and to remove duplicates, it is needed to group based on ID column.
eg:
Id      reg no          name
-------------------------------
1        111             a
                             b
                             c
----------------------------
          101             d
----------------------------
2        100             d 
                             e
----------------------------
My other Req is to achieve dynamic sorting on clicking column header.
I have achieved it by using drill through to the same report.

Now my issue is , when i have grouped by Id column, sorting on 'Reg no column' does sort for each Id.
But user requirement is to have ungrouped records on ID column and dynamic sorting to work irrespective of grouped column.

Any of your help is appreciated.

What version of Cognos are you using? The latest version has the ability to show or hide the values of a grouped field (from what I've read anyway...I'm not using it yet), which could give you the output you're after.
