Where to install BSP Metamanager

Hi. I have framework manager installed on my desktop and I publish to the server from my desktop. I would like to use BSP Metamanager mainly to do bulk updates to the framework model. Where should I install BSP Metamanager? On the server or on my desktop? If I install it on the application server, would I still be able to make bulk updates to the model which lives on my desktop? Or would I have to log on to the server via Remote Desktop connection and develop my model there?
