Cognos Microsoft Excel

I am using Cognos For Mirosoft Excel and try to refresh data using Microsoft office. It connects to the portal using the credentials and refreshes the data for different parameters.
Now there are various crosstabs in the report where the column contains Period which is dynamically dertmined based on the parameter. Again in few places, two crosstabs are merged together and for the second crosstab the header is set to box type none. Now the problem is when the data is refreshed the formatting of the excel gets distorted. The 2nd crosstab tries to move up and in this way the whole formatting gets messed up. This doesnt happen for all the crosstabs. Not sure why this is happening. Its really urgent to overcome this issue. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
