Hi,

We have a data-source in cognos Which was created in 2013.When I am using this data-source for importing metadata in framework manager then it is not showing all the tables but when I create a new data source using the same connection string then I am able to see all the tables. Please explain me Why is it happening? Can I restrict the tables to be imported and if yes then how to do it?

Thanks in Advance

My guess is that the original connection is using a different database signon from the new connection you have defined. You can check this by drilling into the lowest level of the connection in the admin console and editing the signon properties. I'm guessing the user in the original connection has lesser permissions to tables than the user in the new one?
