adding a date range column in report

Hi all,
My report output needs to look like this. The date comes from a date column. I have a date parameter
?date?.
My filter condition is [date] in_range ?date?.   I would like to create a date range column (1st column in below table). It should display the range that is available for that particular month

Date range                                             Tracking id        No of items

1 Dec 2013 -30 Dec 2013                              1234       200
                                     1235       300
                                                                   1236       400
                                                                   1237       500
