can anyone send me the types of errors usually occur in an cognos and their causes also.. :-X

That's a bit like asking how long is a piece of string. There are more possible errors than anyone could reasonably try to list here - anything from missing a comma to trying to multiply by a string to getting the aggregation wrong to putting a string in the measures of a crosstab. I could go on...

My point is that whilst nblank's blog is an excellent and valuable resource (I've bookmarked it for future reference - thanks nblank), it's by no means a complete list. Here's another resource that gives some other error codes...might be of use:

As I alluded to, this doesn't cover all the errors you might get from user error, errors you might get from the database server, or even errors from framework manager.
