Drill up and Drill Down functionality is not working as expected in Workspace

Hi Gurus,

Drill up and Drill Down functionality is not working as expected in Cognos Workspace, data source is SSAS cube.

User have a requirement, where user have a single report with two components a list report and line chart report and have been applied drill up and drill down behaviour and linked together. In report studio both reports are working fine, when we drill up and drill down. But when the same report is moved to Cognos workspace, drill up and drill down for list is not working and giving error, whereas drill up and drill down is working for line chart.

Can you guys help me on the same.

Of course, I'm going to ask the usual question:

What is the error?

I just tried a simple example of this in Cognos 10.2.1 with Fix pack 1 and Interim Fix 3 applied. For me it works exactly as expected.

Thanks for the reply, I am getting 'Drill Up not not available for selected data' for the list in workspace and in Global Area prompts, I am getting error as 'CV - 0002 The request is not valid. Details are available in the log. Please contact your administrator'. Whereas the graph widget is working fine. When I expand the Details of the error, then I can see the message as java.lang.NullPoiterException. I tried checking the log file, nothing is getting updated regarding this in log file.

Can you please let me know, if this information is enough?

Are the list and the chart sharing the same query? When you saidf initially "have been applied drill up and drill down behaviour and linked together", how exactly did you do this? It's very difficult to know what might be causing the issue when we don't know how you have written the report...
