Resolved: Scheduler issue - Excel

Hi,

We have schedule on RS report (Cognos 10.2) which saves its Excel 2007 output in folder. This schedule runs everyday and overwrites earlier version with same name in same folder.

However, we have observed that when it overwrites it changes the data and timestamp but data in an excel does not get reflect. It shows   same size of an excel file and data as earlier version though datetimestamp is latest.

If we do not select the option to overwrite an excel then it create an excel with latest data and even size of excel is more than earlier version.

Not sure how can we resolve this issue? Please help.

Bit strange. Will check this in my env and let you know. Meanwhile check whats happening with other output format. Check what happens if you select output format as PDF.

Not sure how it worked.  >:(

But when I have created report view and scheduled it then it worked as expected.
