Hi Gurus,

I have list report, which have trend column which displays arrow images, which is getting displayed based on conditional styles. when I run the report, report runs fine and displays the arrow images in trend column. But the same report if, I want to take printout the arrow images doesn't display. Dataitem is placed inside a singleton and source type of dataitem is text.

Do anyone encountered this kind of problem, what is the solution for the same. Your help will be much appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Can you explain how you are printing the report? Are you using the browser print option? Are you re-rendering the report as PDF? Are you using the "Run with options" link and choosing "print"?

Thanks for the reply MF.

I am using the browser print option, when I run the report in HTML and PDF format, arrow images in trend column are displayed. I am not using 'Run with options'.

Thanks & Regards,

I wouldn't recommend using the browser print option. Run the report and render it as PDF (which you say works fine) then just print the PDF document.

Cheers!

Thanks MF.

Running the report in PDF output format and taking the browser print options works fine. Is it a bug, when we run the report in HTML format and take the browser print option, images doesn't display in 10.1? Just curious

The problem with printing from the browser is that results can vary depending on browser settings.

I don't know for certain in this case, but it may be that the images are being rendered as background images in the cells. Most browsers have an option on whether to print background images or not, so if it is off you will not see your arrows.

This is one of the reasons many people use PDFs when control over printed output is important, as was recommended.
