Artel,

I'm looking for a possible solution, but no success yet(

I have a report with single parameter ?shop no? which pre-select report based on chosen shop and then produce report output which is simple crosstab.

I should create report view for each possible single shop (parameter value) and include shop no into the name of report view. When I do this with job it is not going well as I have to choose parameter each time manually and as I have hundred of shops then I am in trouble.

Does anybody could come up with good solution?

Hi

I think there are a couple of things you can do.  If you need to have a separate report output for each shop you can set up the repot to generate a page break for each shop.  You can then run the report as a job and burst it to generate a separate output for each page.  It means running the report for every shop each time you run it which may have performance issues and you're users would have to sort through all the outputs to get the ones they are looking for.

If you have some kind of association between individual shops and users you can burst the report on user IDs.  That would reduce the number of outputs as you would get an output for each user and they would just get the ones they want to see.  If you do this you can even email the outputs to the users.

Another option is to set up a report view for each shop (or grouping of shops).  You can select different parameters for each view.  It may take sometime to set up all the views but it is a one off task.  You can then run the views you need to rather than running the report for all the shops.

Try doing some research on bursting and page breaking to see how to do this and decide which approach is most appropriate.

Good luck :-)
