Prevent drill-down reset when filter using prompts

Hi, everybody!

Short description: DRM. A crosstab and some charts sharing the same query. Filters with promt selections for Year, Quarter, Month and Week, and also for Zone. Zone is the first level on a dimension with drill down enabled.

If I filter the data using the prompt selectors and then drill down, when I change filters and reprompt, the dimension go back to the first level and I have to drill down again.

Users tells me its annoying, because sometime they have drilled down 5 levels, then they want to change filters and the drilling resets, so they have to drill down again.

Is there any way to avoid drilling reset when updating filters?

Hi, i'm facing this problem too.

We have a crosstab and prompts on one report page (dashboard-style) and users have the capability to drilldown on rows on the crosstab (this is not a drill-through-function; drilldown/up is done via the default report studio option "allow drillup/down").

Every time the user changes a prompt, the (drill-downed) rows go back to first level. That's really annoying!

Any hint how to solve this issue?

how does your prompt look like and the data item that the prompt filters by?
