Hi all.
I hav Cognos 10.2 an want the search to look the same as it was in 8.4.1.

I mean - I want in Cognos 10.2 - to disable the search option for "Full Text and all fields".

How can I do that?

I found some instructions here:
"How to use legacy search with Cognos 10.1".
Link: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21501309

But it is noted explicitly that it does not work in Cognos 10.1.1.
Well... I checked -  and it seems that this does not wotk for 10.2 too!

I tried to go to:
Configuration ‎> Dispatchers and Services ,  and disable the following, with no effect:
IndexDataService
IndexSearchService
IndexUpdateService

I was able to do the old search in cognos 10.2.1 even with index update enabled.

You type the text like normal in the search box at the top of cognos connection then click on the white arrow next to it and select "names and descriptions" the results will look like they did before. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply...
But I wanted to completely hide this option, of "Full Text and all fields".

Anyway  - I did find how to do it.
It is explained here:

"Restricting searches of IBM Cognos content"
