Formatting Axis label in Cognos chart Report in Excel format

Hi
    I have a Cognos Report in Excel format which contains a Bar Chart
X axis : Month and Year
Y axis : Amount value

I need to display the month numbers below each bar in the Xaxis and Year Numbers below the Month Numbers , In similar manner I have dropped the data items and am getting the desired result when i run the report in HTML or pdf format.

When the same report I run in Excel format , I first get the Year Numbers below the Bars and Month numbers below the Year Number , It looks odd and the chart is unread able.

Please let me know do we need to change any setting for the Excel report

          bars for each month 
Eg:  ----------------------------------------
        1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
        '-- - - - -2013- - - -'

The chart should be displayed as above in the excel format.
