Greetings!

I have not used transformer since version 7.3 , and I was reading today that they stp supporting IQD,externalized via framework manager with this release (10.1)  On top of that you are forced now to use queries from fields from packages and so, I found this on the IBM Cognos site that leads me to believe that relative time categories are not going to be supported any longer or am I miss understanding what they are saying?

IBM Cognos Says:

Importing Time Dimensions from Packages
When you create a query in Transformer based on a Framework Manager package that contains hierarchical time-related categories, Transformer interprets the time-related categories as a regular dimension and not as a time dimension. As a result, the time dimension in your PowerCube will not contain any relative time categories.

To avoid this problem, ensure that you import all of the data needed to define your time dimension, and use Transformer to create the date levels and categories.

Anyone dealing with this yet or can verify this?

Thanks

Charlie

Hi

I haven't come across this but I have created date dimensions in transformer based on the date query subject in my FM package and using the date wizard in transformer.

You can definitely do this in transformer.

Hope that helps,

Good luck
