Framework 10.2 configuration crashes

When opening Configuration for Framework Manager 10.2 after install on either 64bit or 32bit machines configuration immediately crashes.

10.1.1 was not a problem on either machine previously

Has anyone else seen this or have a solution?

It is throwing a java core error, as attached from 32bit machine

Hi,

If you go to the Configuration folder in your Cognos install directory and rename cogstartup.xml to cogstartup.old, does the Cognos Configuration utility launch successfully and create a new, empty configuration? I'm wondering if there is something in your old config files that is causing the crash?

My Cognos Configurator crashes before it starts giving me the error message "Unable to open the requested application.  The application cannot load.  Ensure that all related files are in the original installation location."  I have installed FM 10.2 3 or 4 times removing everything except registry entries between installs.  I followed the same instructions 2 team mates of mine did and they have perfect installs.  What gives?  Thanks very much!!

The last part of your error file is referring to c10 folder and you said you already had a previous version installed. Did you install it in a seperate location or in the same location that pops up by default during installation? If you installed 10.2 in the same location as 10.1.1 then it's a problem.
