After installing Cognos 10 (with lots of problem but they solved), I started services and they started successfully except some errors like "humantask service cannot start" but during the starting of the services these services started succefully

Then i started web browser and see Cognos Admin Panel with no problem.

But when i came to the connecttion to any database ( i have just MS SQL Server 2008 R2 but i tried almost all types of connection -D2, ORACLE etc. - to see error message), I always getting to same error. I googled it but solutions for this kind of error didn't help yet even if resetting Cognos Configuration settings to recreate encryption folders (csk etc) by changing "cogstartup.xml".

By the way I builded up my content store in MS SQL Server 2008 R2(same server in other machine) without any problem. Plus my log db is there. As you all know, this means there is no connection problem between Cognos Machine and Server Machine

I am getting this error in testing connection and am really bored

QE-DEF-0314 QE-DEF-0314 An error occurred while calling the content store for the database: 'testDataSourceConnection' information.

BME-EX-0144 trace;
BmtPlayTransaction:cpp(757):QFException: CCL_RETHOW:
BmtPlayTransaction::DoAction
BmtActionsHelper.cpp(488): QFExcepiton: CCL_RETHROW:
....
....

This gone like this. But icannot copy it.

All help will be appreciated

It looks to me like you are trying to see a data source connection from within Framework Manager - the errors look suspiciously like FM errors. What happens if you log in to Cognos Connection, launch IBM Cognos Administration, go to the Configuration tab, then try to set up/test a data source connection from there?

Hi,

Are you using "MSSQL Native SQL Server client" or "MSSQL ODBC"?
If you are using "MSSQL Native SQL Server client" then this client should be present in your Cognos server.
If you are using "MSSQL ODBC", please check if ODBC connection tests successfully.

Rahul
