Framework manager publish error on Cognos 10.1

Hi,

I have installed Cognos 10.1 on Windows 7 with IIS 7 and SQL server 2008. Everything went on smooth. Dispatcher and gateway URL's are running fine. But when I started publishing sample package or new package, it is throwing below error. Would appreciate, if you can provide solution for this.

BMT-MDC-0001 Unable to publish.
CCL-BIT-0005 A socket reported a communication error.
CAM_Send=0xfffffff4<errorDetail><errorCode>10053</errorCode><errorMessage>Could not send to the socket,errno:0x2745(10053)</errorMessge></errorDetails>

I had heard that Cognos 10 was not compatible with Windows 7.

Take a look at the Cognos 10.1 Supported Environments page.

Windows 7 is not a supported platform for running Cognos 10. Windows 7 *is* supported as a browser client os and as an os for hosting client tools like Framework Manager, but not for the Cognos 10 server itself.

Having said that, it will probably work fine - I have seen many instances of demo laptops running the Cognos 10 server software successfully. It is not suitable for any kind of live or production environment, though.

Is Framework Manager installed on the same machine and in the same instance folder as the Cognos 10 server? If not, it probably means you have not configured FM to point at the dispatcher correctly, or maybe you have a version mismatch between FM and the Cognos 10 server?
