Display element names in Crosstab (TM1 Datasource)

I have a specific problem with a report created in Cognos BI 10.1.1 Report Studio and TM1 9.5.2 FP2 as the datasource.
The crosstab shows start locations in the columns (from a TM1 "Start Location" dimension) and various calculations like volume in the rows.
One of these calculations is used to show the target location for each start location which must be a element name from the "Target Location" dimension.
The target location is determined by doing a zero suppression on the elements of the "Target Location" dimension (via MDX filter function and a tuple as the filter condition) for a seperate measure.
Only the combination of seperate measure (defined in tuple), start location (via crosstab intersection) and the corresponding target location (from the filter function iteration) has a value which filters out all other target locations and returns a single member.
The problem is that the crosstab always shows a empty cell because the returned value is not a number.

Is there any way to solve this specific problem? The target location element names are alphanumeric.
