I want to create a report where you can only drill on the leaf nodes in a dimensional hierarchy.  The dimension is part of a TM1 cube.
I was thinking of using a conditional block to only drill down when the norde if the actual leaf.
The plan was
1.   Create a boolean variable to see if the node is a leaf.
2.   Put a conditinal block in the report where the rows go.  If the variable is yes then drill otherwise just show the node name.

I have been looking at the dimension function called CHILDREN but I'm not sure how to use this in the boolena variable.

Am help Please

I'm a little confused. A leaf member is at the bottom of the hierarchy tree, so why would you want to allow drill down only on these members? Do you mean you want to allow drill down until you reach a leaf member, then you want to allow drill through to another report from there? If so, I posted a kludgy hack for this a few weeks ago - in the Report Studio section I think. It's difficult to locate from this app on my iPad, sorry. A forum search might yield where it is hiding, though?

Cheers!

Hi MF.

I want to drill on the leaf nodes to another report the list the transcations.   So I only want to drill on the bottom level to this new report.  Drilling at the higher levels in the tree will return to much data.

So its drill through not drill down.

Will see if I can locate your earlier post.
