Hi,

Can anybody give me idea of how can i implement security features at Framework Manager level,Cognos Connection,Reportnet?

Thanks

U can set the security at the repornet server level. Use cognos configuation for setting the security..

Again, Reportnet depends on other security mechanism like LDAP, NTLM etc..and doesnot have its own.

Once you are done with Server Level Security (LDAP, NTLM, Cognos 7series, Etc) .....
I think in reportnet you can provide security on three levels

- Data Level
-Object Level
-Package Level

Thanks

It depends what you mean by security!

Server security settings include the application firewall (CAF), the authentication mechanism (LDAP etc), the data source settings (allowing you to use database level security features such as user permissions), and authorisation settings (capabilities).

You can set up groups and roles in Cognos Connection, and refer to those in Framework Manager and Report Studio. Refer to the Admin and Security Guide for details - it's quite comprehensive.
