hi all,

im trying to find the xml (or java?!) file, where i can globaly enable the new AVS charting engine of cog10. The hell knows why they enabled the old legacy chart engine by default :(

Appreciate any ideas, esp. after checkingliteraly (x) * 1000 of xml codelines.
thx and cheerz :P

The checkbox is probably set in the monster that is rsapp.html. 2 megs of encrypted JS and HTML. It's one of the more annoying Cognos files. If you can stand the mess it's an interesting read.

On the other hand, a cookie should be set when you make the selecction, so you should only need to do it once.

As for the reasoning, the new charts are still a bit buggy. The preview feature once killed a server when a certain, unnamed, author was doing some weird nesting and combinations.

Hey Paul,

I gonne try them on the weekend and give a feedback. :)

"pat" - Professional Authoring Tool (just in case you were wondering). No?  Just another useless tidbit of nonsense from the muppet, in that case! :)
