Report data cannot be displayed in japanese

Hi,

We are creating some multilingual reports and our FM is correctly designed. The problem we are getting is , we can display the report in spanish, french . But when we are trying to view the data in japanese it's giving '???? ' in the reverse direction. I thought it might be the problem with suppliment language packs. But the language packs doesn't have japanese included in it. What to do now ??

Please suggest.

We can see the data in japanese when we query the database.

Japanese is a default language (if I remember correctly) so the language pack is not necessary. Have you tried setting the product and content language to japanese under preferences? If it works you must make sure that your users use an IE with a locale set to JP and also check under Cognos Configuration (Globals if i remember correct) that Japanese is matched to the correct locale.
