I have one Query in Transformer:-

Query: - As per my client requirement I have modified imr report ââ,¬Å"just I was added one New column on that reportââ,¬Â (This report is opening within Secondââ,¬â,,¢sââ,¬â,,¢ 3sââ,¬â,,¢) I have created new iqd depend upon that report and I added that iqd as a data source in transformer.

Now I am trying to build a cube, all iqdââ,¬â,,¢s are taking very less time to reading data itââ,¬â,,¢s OK for me, but only this iqs is taking 5hours for reading data(What ever I have added New). It has very very long time.

Actually it will take time only in seconds Max ââ,¬Ëœ5sââ,¬â,,¢,, but its taking very long time to build a cube.( Total data in those tables is only in thousands

Same as in production)

Note:- Without that new column in production itââ,¬â,,¢s taking only 6s for reading data in cube build.

One solution I did ::::: I have deleted that iqd many times and added newly(but there is no result)

Is there any solution for this problem resolution?

Plz Give the solution as soon as possible, I appreciate past responseââ,¬Â¦Ã¢â,¬Â¦

Thanks & Regards

is the new column any kind of large objects..is this column needed for ur cube, if not then creating iqd without that would be fine..

???  ??? is ur new column also from the same table? it could be possible that the new column is from another table with no joins or so and it takes long time to fetch all data? the imr report fetches only the first few rows ... take the SQL of the imr report from profile tab and change the query to give you count(*) in the database. do this with and without the new column.. see the difference in row count.....

yes ::), there could be chances that the new column is from a different table.
but it happened that a clob datatype column was added in both the imr and iqd, the processing of cube took lot of time. The clob column had no use in the cube so later, removed that from the iqd and it then worked properly.  :D
