cognos Express 9.5 installation

hi all,
I have installed cog express 9.5 on windows server 2008 sp2 64 bit.
I ran the install setup. It started installing express manager and on selecting the products one by one it installed properly.
In the document it stats that informix Id which will be installed auto matically when installing cog exp manager.
I finished the installation but unable to find the informix database.I checked content store details in cognos  configuration.It stats the type as IBM cognos content store with the uid as icognosexpress.
I am not able to set the samples of cognos express as it was givng error when extracting samples to the cognos installation directory.
When I started framework manger it was giving error during verify gateway uri, gateway uri error enable to connect.
I want to know can we create a content store with sql server 2005.
I also changed the pasword for content store in configuration. Was this the cause of error.
Can we find the default password for content store. If yes then please let me know.
If anybody has installed cognos express 9.5 bfore or has knowledge , Your guidance wil be appreciated.

Hi All,
when I open the framework manager,I get the following error.

Unable to access service at URL:

http://litl-w40.lauren.local:19300/p2pd/servlet/dispatch?b_action=xts.run&m=portal/close.xts

Please check that your gateway URI information is configured correctly and that the service is available.

For further information please contact your service administrator.

For that I checked the url in the browser which is displaying the cognos connection page, which is displayed against the gateway uri in configuration under environment which is working.

I am not able to find how to resolve the issues.
Your guidance will be appreciated.

Informix is installed and configured solely for use as a content store database with Cognos Express. It is all done behind the scenes, and is not really intended for you to mess with.

Can you describe the exact steps you took and the specific error message(s) you see?  It's difficult to know where to start in suggesting a solution otherwise.

It sounds like the install of Framework Manager may not have configured successfully. Occasionally this can happen. If you poke around in  the install directory of Express you should find a client folder where FM is installed. Find and run the cogconfig.exe utility in here and check that the gateway and dispatcher uris are defined as they should be.

No - Express can only use Informix as its content store.

It depends what the error was. Probably not, though, if I was guessing.

Can we find the default password for content store. If yes then please let me know.

Is there an option in Configuration to right-click and "set to default"? I can't recall whether this is possible or not.

Hi,
The steps which I followed when installing C exp 9.5 using installation guide(ig_express)

I ran the setup install.exe.
It started installing Express manager.After Express manager is installed.
I installed advisor followed by planner ,reporter and then Xcelarater.
I created a user icognosexpress using the cmd I changed the default password.
@ I skip the mail settings step ,Authentication step.
Then after logging in with Icogexpress user , I installed client components ie FM,Advisor,Xcelarator etc.
I then importd samples for reporter which furher guide to create a Sales_plan,Sales_plan_tc,great_outdoor_sales package using new import steps.
Now When I am selecting the great sales package to open in report studio ,It stats "unable to find great_outdoor_sales in content store".


I solved the issue which arises when opening framework manager by going into client FM installed folder and clicking on cogconfig.bat file which opens configuration where I changed the gateway uri .

I wanted to know whether configuration for Authentication is mandatory which I skip as shown in above steps @.

Currently giving an error during publish package.
The error is as follows:

BMT-MDC-0001 Unable to publish.
CCL-RCI-0002 The Soap server returned a Soap fault.
The error messages from WASP engine:
CM-REQ-4012 You do not have the appropriate permissions to update or delete the object "/Public Folders" or a related object.

any guidance to move further to next steps will be appreciated.
