Cognos Powerplay: MOLAP
Cognos Reportnet : ROLAP

U wanted any other cognos Products?

ratikant

Hi,
from where can I get this information that which product belongs to which OLAP?

Thanks

Merri

Have you tried the cognos site?

ratikant

yes, I searched in the knowledge base from Cognos site, but I didn't get any info.

Merri

Well, based on my quick Google search, it's pretty obvious which method is used, as long as you have read up on the products - which information is available on the Cognos site.

MOLAP implies a self-contained cube format, usually in a proprietary format.
ROLAP means a relational database that looks like a cube.
HOLAP means a cube format from which you can also query relational data.

Your other option, of course, is to ask your Cognos account manager to provide you with this information!
