[SOLVED] Graphs won't display in HTML

I wrote a load of reports on a laptop. Moved the reports successfully to the SQL Server 2005 environment. when I run the reports from the server they display fine (most contain atleast one grap and also a table). When run from the client machines the graph is not displayed when displayed in HTML format. They work fine in PDF file format. The graphs are there as if you right-click it offers the option to "download chart".
The graphs are rendered in .PNG file format apparently.
It appears that the client p.c. build is locked down so tight that it blocks .PNG files or possible the Java / ActiveX / etc. that is used to display the charts is blocked.

Anyone else come across this problem? If so any idea which setting within Internet explorer that needs to be relaxed?

Goto Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab -> Trusted Sites and add your Cognos server (or your entire intranet/company domain) in there.

What ver of IE? I thought it had native PNG support..

Tried this but it doesn't make any difference. I suspect it is one of the security settings, however I can't look at the client builds so therefore have no visibility as to how the settings are currently set.

If the images are stored in a server folder then it is quite likely the user doesn't have read permission on that folder from their machine.  Make the folder shared if possible.

My understanding was that the graphs are not displaying properly...Opposed to static images in a folder.

If that is true, they are not generated in a folder but rather thru the C8 processing engine... Sharing folders will not help.  C8 is a web based app - it does not need shared folders or a usual file sharing network connection.. Only HTTP (or HTTPS).
