Hi guys..Need some help suggestions on what would be the best way to copy an existing contributor application within the same environment with a different name and on a different application store. Would asking DBA to copy application store to a new application store with a different name and using Link to an existing application work.?Or Can I export the model with data using deployment wizard and import the same and specifying a newly created datastore work?.

I would recommend the deployment facility as it's easier to take a deployment export and then re-import immediately and simply respecify the values on the final mapping screen.  Of course this option only works if you have the ability to create databases with the datastore account specified in the CAC.

Otherwise you would have to unlink the application in the CAC (which would break any access rights you've defined against that application), take the back, and then re-import.  You could do this without unlinking it too, but it involves deleting values from a table within the application database.

Thanks Eric. We used the Deployment wizard and it did worked perfectly as intended.
