External Data File always prompts

Each time I run the report it requires me to browse to the external csv file (see attached). Can you tell me how to correct this?

When configuring the external data file access, there is a checkbox to enable the file to be loaded automatically.  If you use a non-UNC file path, this unchecks (as you would expect) and users are prompted to locate their local copy of the file.
