Mass set workflow status to submitted for a selection of e.list

All,

Hope you can help me.

During the forecasting process, around 70% of the organizations (e.list items) should be locked. So I am seeking for a solution to set the workflow status to Submitted, but just for a selection of the e.list items.

Is it possible via the Contributor Admin Console, or maybe via a workaround? Using access tables is not preferabble as my client needs to be able to reject the e.list item after reviewing it.

Thanks.

Hi SanderH,

I'm not aware of any way of setting only a subset of e-list items to Submitted / Locked.  My recommendation would be to set all items to Locked via the GTP wizard option to reset the workflow page.  You would then have to reject each node that you want to remain unlocked.  This can be done by clicking the down Reject button from the elist workflow screen.

If there was another way, I would imagine it would involve hacking application database tables, which is never a recommended practice.

I'd be interested to know if there was another way myself..

Hi,

There are about 500 elist items, so setting them all to Submitted and then unlocking 150 manually does not seem to be an option.

Thanks anyway :)

That was my suspicion..  150 sounds like a lot, but you can likely reject 15 - 20 a minute, maybe even more...  so I'm hoping it would only take 5 mins to do.

Definitely a better workaround than hacking a table, if that's even possible.

Cheers!

If you're really desperate -- you can edit submission flag in nodestate table of application database.
But that's not supported )
