Hi All,

I want to transfer some string elements by way of Turbo Integrator from Excel source to TM1 cube. However, how can have some kind of validation to restrict upload of unwanted strings/text items in elements of dimension.

To be more specific, is there any way to have data validation at element level in TI data transfer. I tried DIMIX function but it is working at dimension level and not at the element level. My source file contains strings which are used as string elements in Measure Dimension and I want to have validation on those elements.

Kindly advice....

Thanks in advance..

Have you bothered to read any of the product documentation? Specifically the section on "text rules functions" in the reference guide.  (Rules functions work in TI by the way, this is also mentioned in the documentation.)

There are several functions which are useful for text validation and transformation, particularly SUBST, SCAN, LONG, FILL, TRIM ... to name a few.
