Hi.  You appear to have Cognos Express.  Why are you running cogconfig.bat, rather than using Manager to install and configure the components of Express?

i have configured all component of cognos using cognos manager but i m not getting understand that how can i configure cognos with oracle ??? either by using cogconfig.bat or by using cognos manager can you let me know the steps that i can configure cognos to oracle remind you that i m using trial version.

MFGF

You can't use Oracle as a Content Store in Cognos Express - it is limited to the bundled Informix content store.  The only "configuration" you can do for Oracle is to add an Oracle database as a data source, and you would not use cogconfig.bat for this purpose.

You have my ID - it is MFGF.  I'm on here most days, along with lots of other forum members with vast and varied knowledge.  If you have questions, please post them up publicly - you stand a much better chance of getting an answer than if you just send them to a muppet! :)

I know! I know! I just can't keep away from the place! :) You know who my employer is, RA, but even THEY allow a couple of days off for Christmas. It's great to see you back on here, by the way. Hope you are keeping well (and busy!)

Cheers!
