Hello

Under certain load conditions the ReportNet dispatcher receives a connection refused error message.

This happens despite availability of processes and the fact that ReportNet server CPU is not getting spiked.

Any thoughts on why this would happen ...

Thanks

Hi,

Are you receiving an error message which says "Dispatcher detected a connection failure. Connect refused..bla..bla..bla.." and at the end it says "HTTPClient threw an exception" If this is what you are getting then I shall join your wagon. Sorry, I dont have a fix but just wanted to make sure you are also getting the same error as we are.
Sorry again for dissapointing you

Separate from yours.

But hey I do see your error message as well.

Does your ReportNet query against Oracle databases (content store as well)

No, we use MS SQL server 2000 for CM and for all our DB's. In the error message, I see Audit.Query  on the left so my guess is may be its unable to connect to Audit(intermittent disconnect) or its session expires for some reason. To test the same, I'm yet to remove Audit from Cognos and check the logs for those Errors. This way I will know whether its connectivity issue between Cognos Server ad Audit DB causing the error or not. Let me know your result if you try this.
Thanks
Sachin
