Hello, anyone here succeeds in importing from flat or excel into analyst or contributor eastern europe texts with some inverted ^ on the C for instance ? that's the codepage 852 latin2 table that cause me troubles. Especially with the 010C code.
see this link for the ref table : http://ascii-table.com/codepage.php?852

truncated or mismatched code are replaced with "?". This won't be a problem normally except for an Hr application using the lastname of people.

Hi,
I work with these strange characters every day ;)
čšž etc ..

I don't know exactly, but I think you have to have set up a PC locale that actually has these characters .. like Czech .. than it works. There are also other settings for Oracle codepage and Server locale, which we have partially set to Czech or Unicode ..

Auto reply :

In the contributor administration console
goto the relevant datastore\application\Development\Application Maintenance\Admin Options

add -C1252 in Import options and Publish Options

and no more problem.
