Syncronizing QTD and Prior Year QTD

Dates and Transformer are to be my Achilies heal in this job.

Within the date dimension all 'prior' categories have been changed to reflect the prior YEAR not the prior quarter or month or week.  The problem is that for the quarter and month I can't get the 'to date' parts to syncronize.  In other words when I pull QTD Grouped into a cube view I get Jan, Feb and Mar for 2005 but only Jan and Feb for 2006.  What I want is Jan and Feb for 2005 also.

I've tried every relative time setting combination and it's just not working. 

Suggestions anyone?  I've got a project manager ready to rip me to shreads.

This is another one that is no longer my problem.  Now someone else can bang their head against the wall over it.
