mdx prompt data item showing up prior to prompt page

I have the following expression [Shipments].[Time].[Calendar Year to Month].[Month]->?Month_di? in a data item I use it as a value prompt then in the page as a nested item to create YTD and LYTD calcs in the report layout all works well, but it also comes up prior to prompt page, is there a way to make this prompt part of the prompt page ?

Are you using the query that expression is in anywhere in the prompt page?

That would be my suspicion too.  The value prompt should not refer to your data item - only to the parameter ?Month_di?, and should use a query to retrieve the original month members.
