You Do Not Have Access to Any Report Studio Profiles

I have need to give a group of people the ability to create reports against a subset of the data in our data warehouse.  When an individual in this group attempts to launch report studio, they receive the message "You do not have access to any Report Studio profiles" and Report studio shuts down.  They can run existing reports without error.

Here's what I have done:
1. Created a new role and populated it with an Active Directory group containing the users.
2. Granted this new role Read, Execute, and Traverse rights at the root of our Public Folders.
3. Granted this new role Read, Execute, and Traverse rights to the folder containing the Data need to access.  I don't what them to be able to edit existing reports or create reports here, only create reports on the data within.
4. Added role to Cognos Viewer and Report Studio Capabilities with Execute and Traverse permissions.
5. Added role to Report Studio User Interface Profile with Execute and Traverse permissions.

Any thoughts or suggestions?  Should I be doing this differently?

Hi,

what say the preferences of the user? Do you see there any capability to use either express mode or professional authoring mode?

cheers

Got it.

While I had added my new Role to both Professional and Express User Interfaces Profiles with Read and Traverse rights, I had neglected to set rights for this role on the User Interface Profiles root directory.  Once set, everything worked (and I have updated my documentation so I don't forget).
