All-

I built a Cube by setting the Model which was designed in the Output Tab and set the name as Xxxxx_Yyyyy_Zzzzz.mdc for the PowerCube file name:Ã,  well the thing is when the output file comes, it falls as Xxxxx_Yyyyy_Zzzzz.mdc in the path I set in the Output Tab, but the issue is when I (Whoever have rights) publish it over to WEB.
The .mdc file is shown as xxxxx_yyyyy_zzzzz on the Cognos PowerPlay Web Explorer instead ofÃ,  Xxxxx_Yyyyy_Zzzzz

Can any one Advice what should be done to Display in InitCaps I want it to be displayed as Xxxxx_Yyyyy_Zzzzz

Thanks

This is easy to fix. Just find the xxxxx_yyyyy_zzzzz.cfx file in the PPSRoot folder and edit the "Name=" attribute.

I have couple of Comments here:
In ppadmtool , you define the cube names to be displayed in web , by yourself , when adding a cube.
So the name is not linked to the MDC file name.
If the cube name is coming from the mdc name, then I would assume that you have defined a source folder, so what ever cube you add to this folder , it s automatically added to the PPES server.
If this is the case I will not touch the CFX files, unless the folder properties are modified not to be a source folder.

If not a source folder, I will test first the technic given by Mark , as if you have saved views of this cube in the Imported_reports folder , then it could be that PPES will not be able to access them after the renaming.

Anyway in PPES admin tool , if you right-click the cube and select Rename , all the above problems should be avoid, but it turns ppes admin to be a bit messy as it creates a shortcut to the previous name.
