Join Issues

Hi all,

I have a set-up where I have a header table with two different detail tables.
They represent Work at the header level with Billing and Invoicing being in two different sub-tables.

Both sub tables have a one to many relationship to the parent (1-n) in Framework manager, both on the Work_ID.

I can pull all relevant text fields from the header table and include the appropriate Billing and Invoicing data so that it sums up to the current balance with no problem.

The very, very strange thing is that once I pull a Date field from the Header table into the report, which doesn't have a relationship with either sub-table, the amounts in the Billing field are not shown where the date field is NULL.  So I'm very interested to know why, when my report only contains text fields the report displays exactly as I had hoped, when the date comes into play it all goes pear shaped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

can you post some more information...perhaps a schematic diagram of the joins mentioning the cardinality as well

Its a bit hard to try and pinpoint the problem without a few more details....

How have you modelled your date field? 
Do you have it as a dimension in the report query? 
Do you have it as an attribute / identifier or fact in your model?

Is it possible that the detail tables are joined to another table on the date fields?Ã,  Is this a multi-dimensional or relational?

Can you recreate the issue in GO Sales and post the XML?

Please provide more details.Ã,  What are your filters / parameters?
